         Love Bank Park transforms a former vacant lot into a multi-functional, environmentally sustainable public space on Cherokee Street, one of St. Louis’s most multi-cultural and progressive hubs. The park’s design is anchored by curved geometries inspired by Venn diagrams, symbolizing the commonalities and inclusive spirit of the local community. 

    Evolving from a 2015 grassroots effort, and 7+ years of social engagement work, the park now offers sophisticated infrastructure for both recreation and relaxation. The site features an open plaza with chess tables and shade trees for neighbors to gather; a permeable basketball court, supporting both active recreation and food truck festivals. As a demonstration landscape, the park utilizes rain gardens and permeable pavers to lead the way in sustainable stormwater management.
